We foster independence and self-reliance in keeping with the abilities of each of our residents, and look to provide the sort of lifestyle that they would enjoy if living at home. This includes taking part in our extensive musical programme and enjoying baking demonstrations, or perhaps getting their hands dirty in the raised planting boxes in our beautiful kitchen garden.
For dog lovers, we have our friendly in-house therapy dog, Fergie, who is one of the biggest hits among residents. Fergie, a Cork native, provides excellent companionship to our residents during her visits and loves to take walks.
Our Men’s Shed is an ideal location for our male residents to hang out in. All residents can also hone their golf skills on our putting green, or help out in our beautiful gardens, if they’re up for it.
We encourage outings of all descriptions, and we’re happy to listen to any reasonable requests (and the odd unreasonable one) from our residents in terms of organising visits to the locality or further afield. Afterall, we have out own wheelchair accessible minibus so we like to make the most of it!
