Our latest HIQA Monitoring Inspection Report was published today and is available below.

Mary and I would like to acknowledge the work and commitment of all our staff at Orwell Healthcare who contribute on a daily basis to making Orwell the centre of excellence that it is. Their hard work and commitment to the delivery of person centred care has been recognised by our industry Regulatory Body the Health Information and Quality Authority.

Our Orwell Choir accompanied by Choir for Joy recorded Night of Silence/Silent Night today for broadcast on Lyric FM’s Choirs for Christmas.

Recordings will be broadcast from the 12th December. As soon as we have a confirmed time we will let you know so that you can tune in and enjoy the Christmas cheer.

Congratulations to our very own Dr Mary Jones who was runner up in the Management Professional category at the 10th Annual IMAGE Business Woman of the Year Awards last night. A well deserved acknowledgment from her peers of the amazing work she does on a daily basis.

A big congratulations to our very own Dr. Mary Jones who is shortlisted for the IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2016! The awards will take place on November 21st and there was a whopping 394 entries. Dr Mary has been nominated in the Management Professional category.

‘Now in its tenth year, the IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards aims to recognise and celebrate inspirational women across all areas of the Irish business world’ 

Best of luck to Dr Mary from all the team in Orwell.

Hundreds of events are taking place around the country from Monday 26th Sep to Sunday 2nd Oct to celebrate Positive Ageing Week. Here at Orwell Healthcare we have many events taking place over the course of the week to celebrate.

To start us off on Monday we had a Bake a Cake, Buy a Cake to support Age Action during positive aging week.

The residents enjoyed a full filled Afternoon Tea on Tuesday in The Cafe on the Avenue

We have added some delicious favorites to the menu in The Cafe on The Avenue at Orwell Private. There is a selection of locally sourced and freshly prepared foods on offer everyday – these include delicious home-baked ham, salmon mousse, asian baked salmon fillets, mushroom and chicken vols au vents all served with your choice of salads – come in and try for yourself!
