Orwell Healthcare HIQA Inspection Report November 2025

Orwell Healthcare is pleased to share the most recent publication of the HIQA Report following an unannounced inspection on 17th November 2025.

The report confirms that residents enjoy a good quality of life in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. Residents spoke positively about their care, describing staff as kind, helpful, and attentive, while inspectors observed a calm and respectful atmosphere throughout the centre


HIQA Inspection Report Highlights

The HIQA inspection report highlights many strengths across the service.

Residents are supported to live their lives with choice and independence, including deciding their daily routines and how they spend their time. A varied programme of activities is available, including music, exercise, arts, and social events, with strong engagement from residents.

There are strong relationships between residents and staff, with care delivered in a person-centred and respectful way. The centre offers a range of communal spaces and personalised bedrooms, creating a comfortable and homely environment


Staff, Training and Quality of Care

Inspectors found appropriate staffing levels and good access to training. Staff were knowledgeable, well supported, and responsive to residents’ needs. Care plans were detailed, personalised, and regularly reviewed to ensure high-quality care.

The service is generally well managed, with effective systems in place to monitor quality and respond to feedback. Some areas for improvement were identified, including aspects of risk management and maintenance, and clear action plans are in place to address these
