Orwell Knitting Group
Since Christmas our “Knitting Group” has produced five lap blankets for the different day rooms in Raglan, Elgin and Orwell House.
We continue to knit as a group twice a week and would appreciate any donations of wool or needles – Please contact Siobhan in activities for further information.

Calling all songsters, our new Orwell Choir under the direction of our Musical Director Karen Ni Bhroin starts Thursday the 24th of March, don’t be shy, come out and sing for Orwell!
Orwell Healthcare are delighted to announce the appointment of Senior Physiotherapist, Kostas Dedousis to its team. Kostas has a Master of Science in Neurorehabilitation and a Degree in Physiotherapy. He has been working in acquired brain injury and rehabilitation in Ireland since 2012. Kostas has over 10 years experience in the area of neurorehabilitation including periods at Charing Cross Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital Paddington in London.
Orwell Healthcare opened its acquired brain injury unit in January 2016 and offers a comprehensive rehabilitation programme. The unit is serviced by a multi-disciplinary team including occupational therapists, a speech and language therapist, psychologist and psychiatrist, physiotherapist with neurological experience and a team of nurses and care assistants with experience in caring for people with acquired brain injury.
